Join the award-winning authors of Slay In Your Lane, Yomi Adegoke and Elizabeth Uviebinené, for an inspirational evening celebrating the paperback publication of their groundbreaking guide to life for a generation of Black British women. Yomi and Elizabeth will be in-conversation with founder of Women Who and author of Little Black Book, Otegha Uwagba.
Illustrated with stories from Elizabeth Yomi’s own lives, and using interviews with dozens of the most successful black women in Britain, Slay In Your Lane is essential reading for a generation of black women inspired to find success in every area of their lives.
Since the book came our last summer, Slay In Your Lane gone way beyond the books pages and into the news: heralded by Sadiq Khan as ‘a brilliant book about what it is like to be a woman, black and a Londoner in 2018’, and a ‘cultural landmark’ by the Daily Telegraph.
Yomi and Elizabeth will discuss the phenomenal year they’ve had, the astonishing movement they’ve created, the strides black women have already made, and how far we still need to go to see real change for Black women in the UK to forge a better, visible future.
